Degree: B.S. Biology
Bio: My name is Stephanie Cortner. Raised in my hometown of Pullman, I graduated WSU in 2017 with a B.S. in Biology. During my undergraduate years, I volunteered at various health clinics and hospitals to grasp a better understanding of my interest in the health field and learn how interconnected health professions are. I worked in Dr. Pat Hunt's lab studying the estrogenic effects on reproductive germ cells and was also a TA for the Biol 315 Human Anatomy lab. Currently, I am enrolled as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer student at Bellevue College. No matter where you are at, a conversation can broaden perspective. Being a part of TMP for 3 years taught me how valuable it is to hear the journey of others -- similar and different from you, as they pursue their goals; as well as the importance of being proud of your accomplishments.
