SOAR Lounge Policies

Students can reserve the lounge at least six hours ahead of the desired time slot. For example if a student wants to book a study space at 4:00pm on a Tuesday, they can't just reserve it at 3:00pm that Tuesday. 

The max time for a reservation is 50 minutes (but can make multiple reservations if necessary). Please be mindful of other students who may need to use this shared space.

Availability

We have limited spaces available, max limit of four per computer stations and study spaces. 

Booking is for one individual for one space. 

If students are planning to bring a small group (2 or more), we recommend other spaces.

Some of our favorite group study locations around campus include:

• The Office of Multicultural Student Services

• The Spark: Academic Innovation HUB

• Compton Union Building (CUB)

• Smith Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE)

• WSU Libraries

Cancellation

Please notify TRIO SSS staff if cancelling a reservation. 

Students can cancel 15 minutes prior to the reservation. Failure to cancel ahead of time will result in a no-show. 

What is considered a no-show?

• Not notifying our TRIO SSS staff that you will be late to your reservation.
• Not canceling your reservation. 
• Not showing up for your reserved time. 
• If you are more than 15 minutes late to your reserved time. 

What are the consequences?

• Fail to communicate with our staff after a no-show will result in a warning. 
• After the 2nd no-show during the semester, the student will not be allowed to book a reservation in advance for the rest of the semester.
